A note from your provider
Taking the first step toward better mental health can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate the journey alone. I'm glad you're here. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and respected for who you are. I believe that seeking support is a sign of strength, and every step you take toward healing deserves to be recognized.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I bring professional and clinical experience supporting individuals with diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and mental health needs. My experience includes working with LGBTQ+ and queer communities, people of color, individuals navigating substance use disorders, high-performing professionals experiencing stress and burnout, older adults, and individuals living with complex psychiatric conditions. I understand that mental health is deeply personal and that each person's journey is shaped by their unique experiences, relationships, culture, and environment.
My approach to care combines evidence-based treatment with compassion, collaboration, and cultural awareness. I incorporate therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy, along with individualized psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and support for concerns such as ADHD and other mental health conditions, as appropriate to each person's needs. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and find a treatment approach that supports your overall well-being.
I believe you deserve to feel safe being yourself in the spaces where you seek care. Your identity, culture, values, and lived experiences matter. You do not have to minimize your struggles, explain away your feelings, or fit into someone else's expectations to receive compassionate mental health support. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that honors who you are and recognizes the social, cultural, and personal experiences that influence your mental health.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, substance use concerns, emotional challenges, or simply trying to understand yourself better, you deserve care that meets you where you are with dignity, patience, and hope.
You don't have to have everything figured out to begin. You just have to show up as you are.
I'm glad you're here, and I invite you to reach out. Let's start a conversation, explore your needs, and see if we're the right fit for your mental health journey. You deserve to feel seen, supported, and empowered to move toward a healthier you.
